ABOUT
Lucas Beaudette is a furniture maker from Charlton, Massachusetts. After persuing his craft for nearly a decade through self-taught practice, Lucas attended the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in 2025-2026 where he treasured the opportunity to learn from some of the world’s most esteemed furniture makers. His designs are inspired by traditional Shaker furniture while accentuating the natural beauty and variation of wood grain. Lucas grew up surrounded by antiques - you can find traces of this influence in his practices and commitment to creating quality, timeless pieces with a modern spin.

Each piece of furniture starts the old fashioned way with a pencil sketch in a notebook. After countless edits and iterations, a more refined design is born. From the sketchbook, Lucas likes to build scale models to work out ratios and proportions. Sometimes a full scale model is needed in order to assess stability and structure. Once Lucas feels confident in the design he is ready to select the perfect lumber to highlight the project ahead.
